A slide show of photos by nature photographer, Romy Orcon of wild birds of the Philippines. These birds are fast on the road to extinction, as poachers and uneducated population use slingshots and bb guns to hunt these endemic species in nature parks all over the islands. The rest of these birds are struggling to cope with the loss of habitats to urban land developments, and industrial use of agricultural lands for the sake of progress. These photos may be the only memory of Philippine wild birds that our grandchildren will see.
Great work Romy. Very enjoyable. It would be great to go birdwatching with you next time I'm in the Philippines.
Cheers,
John
