  • u have made completing the square look so easy!thanks for the help i now understand it much better. my teach explained it a very confusing way of getting a remainder or something. If you show me an organized procedure of how to do it though, i can remember the procedure and do it right nearly every time!

  • D: I'm going to look stupid but you lost me when you made -2/-5 a positive 2/5... How did that happen?

  • @selistar1000 multiplying by 1/2 is the same as dividing something by 2. But, dividing something by 1/2 is a completely different thing. In that case, you take the reciprocal of 1/2, which is 2 and multiply by the number given.

    - 4 x 1/2 = 2 but 4 divided by 1/2 = 4 x 2 = 8
