This is one of the original cast members of the great success of La Cage Aux Folles, the cabaret show, in Beverly Hills. Bobby Etienne was also seen in the original 1978 version of La Cage Aux Folles. He has performed throughout the US and abroad, including the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris. He is a great teacher, historian and pioneer of the art of female illusions and impersonation of our time. Bobby resides in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Bobby Etienne passed away Saturday, November 7. He will be greatly missed. I spent many times with him about his great experiences performing for Diana Ross, Eartha Kitt, and many other legends. Bobby was an amazing historian of the art of female impersonation as we know it. Such a historian and wonderful person to know. Rest in peace.

  • I am devastated to hear this. I didn't know. Bobby & I were friends and lost touch with one another a few years back. I have been thinking so much about him lately, and then I find this. I am crushed. If anyone can share anything with me regarding his death, please message me. What terrible news to find out at this time of year. RIP, my old friend. I remember SOOOO many wonderful times and glorious nights. You were a wonder to behold. I love you & miss you.

  • Yes, Bobby i will come packed with some bottles of wine, R&B, the potatoe salad that you liked for me to make for you, my favorite BBQ chicken that you loved so much and a strawberry and banana smoothie w/ ice. This will be FABULOUS, my dear. This is me, Dolores, again. Until later Bobby, RIP. Peace Out!!

  • Bobby was my neighbor at 13016 and I was fortunate enough to spend the last hours of his conscious life with him and Marilyn. Bobby RIP because when i see you in heaven we will have a lot to discuss. All with LOVE!! I will sum it up like this. Georgie Carlos, our cat, our child, is gone. Where at I don't know. Max is living the life of Reiley and things with your Buddy has intensified. When you left, I left. And it is now complete. YOU, I MISS SO VERY, VERY MUCH!! Until later, Dolores

  • I worked with Bobby for a while at La Cage Aux Folles Beverly Hills and it was a blast. I was one of the "Florida Girls" as we were then known by the cast. Thanks Bobby for all the fantastic times.

    Rest Easy

  • Bobbi, I will miss you. You were truly a friend to me when I really needed you, you were there!!! Bless you my LOVE, CAROL CASS.

  • (Continuing my previous post) I would be glad to share photos and memories of Bobby. Again, just send me a message and friend request on Facebook --- Pamela Wrona. Bobby, you were so dearly loved and will always be remembered!

  • I met Bobby about 8 years ago through my husband David, who met Bobby many, many years ago when he was still here in LA. I remember him putting together this slide show in a class he took at Common Ground, and how thrilled he was to have it posted on YouTube. He performed only a few times in the last 8 years, but was still quite the entertainer at the various dinner parties and events he attended with David and me and our friends during that time, If anyone wants to friend me (Pamela Wrona)

  • I wish to personally thank ANYONE and EVERYONE who reached out to express their condolences regarding Bobby's passing. Moreover, not to mention favorites, Dan and Gary were therapeutic with their conversations to me as were many other calls and Internet correspondence.
