as salaam alaykum pr00fishere. True words you speak, Alhamdulillah. It's easy for us to watch a very short video and get the wrong impression. I went to Sudan and experienced life there. These brothers pray 5 times a day, break their sleep for prayer, they welcome travellers into their company, feed and clothe you and observe the Sharia. I have never experienced such love. They are Maliki and live closer to the way of ar-Rasool sallaAllahu alayhi wa salaam than we do.
