You're just selling it because you are a YouTube partner! The new downgraded design sucks & you know it.With the old layout -Everything that the channel user wants displayed is all there on one page! With this new layout everything is always "Just a click or two away."When checking out a new channel, people aren't gonna spend time doing that & UTube knows that! As for customizing-- Channels users have lost their distinctiveness that put the You in the Tube. Now we're all just in a grey box !

New channel = less flexibility. I like some of it such as large icons, But what's up with the channel icon? A filmstrip of indistinguishable videos? Really crap. I'd like to be able to arrange my channel into sub folders that are related and easy to find, not just large thumbnails which have no way to arrange them. First they bait you into this, then when the hook is in, watch out. Can't wait for the full commercialization of YouTube - coming soon I'm sure.

In the Movie, Play it Again Sam, Woody Allen discovers the character, Rick, in his book became self-aware, had freewill, and was wiser than himself, Rick’s creator; Creator of YouTube needs to realize that YouTube is, well, “It’s AAliiive!” It deserves more respect and needs to be set free and not be leashed up with corporate visions that cross the longing of YouTubers. This is the postmodern era.
