Reception of K8LKC, Three Rivers, MI by NG9D, Plainfield, IL during regional thunderstorm activiy. NWS map shows location of storm in western Illinois. K8LKC was discussing WA9WJB's model RR circuit boards and his cousins model RR hobby. Normally one wouldn't adjust the RF gain, regen or fine tuning that much - it was done as an example of how each control affects the others and how the resulting audio frequency (tone) changes.
