You know, Emily Dickinson was supposed to have been a genius. I don't think she was ever meant to be taken or portrayed as some stereotypical housewife clown. I mean, read Letters to Master. This woman was provocative, full of turmoil, lust. Yes, she was playful, but she struggled to find meaning in it all. Jesus. Give the woman some justice.
