Maybe it's about the message and not the relevance, ever think of that? Marijuana criminalization and arrests were as big an issue in the 90's as in the 70's and this song deals with that. Also, who cares? It's a great song and this is a great cover by a great band.
what a terrible idea to cover this song. It was a protest song for someone in the early 70's, which is totally irrelivant to what was going on in the 90's. If Sinclair had gotten arrested in the 90's i could understand, but this makes no sense at all.
