Why do we have to have anti spinning stakes on the old DH-82A. And were are the slats on the top wing. I think pilots have gone soft with these warm fuzz ie extras. The Tiger was a great aeroplane without the stakes and it sure needs the lockable slats on the top wing.Without them you cant fly the Tiger properly. Why be afraid of spinning.
I've flew one of these vintage Tiger Moths at Duxford air museum. I had a Pilot with me since I do not have a pilots license but it was incredible. So far one of the best experiences in my life.
There is just something deeply historical about hearing the the word "Contact" in an English accent.

Great aeroplane to fly. Good old undercarriage makes rough field landings smooth. Really impressive Sideslip Approach, to get in over tall trees!
