Bette had such a unique style!!
She dared to play roles that other actresses in the 30's and 40's wouldn't dare to play, she had such a range in her films!! (e.g if you see Now, Voyager you can't imagine she was ever Baby Jane Hudson)
Meryl Streep is right. Bette was brilliant.
