Session A-5 Future Universities and New HR Discipline

*Speaker:
-Pierre-Alain SCHIEB, Head of OECD Futures Projects
-Fabienne Goux-Baudiment, Head of ProGective, President of World Future Studies Federation

*Description:
Education has been the thermodynamic engine of the progress since the nineteenth century.

However, most current national education systems seem to be failing in responding to recent challenges posed by new technologies and globalization. It is essential to know more about intelligence as we already entered the society of knowledge. With the transition into the knowledge society, lifelong learning is becoming more important. To meet those challenges HR needs to be changed in radical ways. This session will discuss some of education and learning possibilities by the year 2030. It will also include changes in the HR discipline to meet lifelong learning demands.
