Love the Beaver but hate the paint job.

@flanksteak1 whats the spec on these engines, i thought the Cessna had a PWC PT6? whats the beaver got?
-
can the Beaver fly with 11 passengers and a shit load of cargo at the same time??? NO.

Wips bird is a beast!

It's tough to beat the Turbo Beaver wheel/skis of floats, The Cessna 206 is a great wheel plane but a very poor performer on floats with the 300 h.p. engine and 4 hours fuel load. I'm Looking foreword to my next flight on the Turbo Beaver.

The main difference is payload. The 206 is at gross weight, and the Beaver has only a light weight pilot on board.
The 206 is still great for landing at 99.99% of all seaports because 70% of this planet is covered with water. In fact, I've never seen a short water runway before.

@netscion That is a good one! LOL!

Thrust to weight ratio even though the beaver is bigger the thrust ratio is greater then the 206 it also has a greater wing surface area then the 206 of course it going to beat its an unmatched performance

If the earth was an infinitely long and wide flat surface with the same gravitational field both planes would become airborne the exact same way. the curvatureof the Earth has nothing to do with it. In fact the curvature in th very short distance of this take-off approaches zero (flat) as a limit.

Love the Boss Beav when it goes into reverse thrust. Stops on a dime!
Lets see, Cessna 206 Turbo with floats, 700K, 310 horspower.
Turbine Beaver with floats, 1.5 Million, 750 horsepower.
A fair comparison? No. I mean why not badmouth a Honda Accord because it can't beat a ferrari off the line or put a Ford Taurus up against a Superduty with both towing fifth wheels and then badmouth the taurus.
Guffaw!
