My wife and I had the great pleasure of sledding with these magnificent dogs for a week long trip through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Their strength and endurance are unparalleled.

not everyone in Canada charges so much for their puppies... good quality homes and a desire to keep this breed from extinction is of most importance... Heidi

@Shadowbear1955 I know all this, I've been obsessed with them since I was 6 haha.
And I also need lots of excercise; ask my border collie and huskies, by the time we get home all they wanna do is pass out on the couch for 2 days straight xD

@ChantelleBritney They are awesome dogs no doubt but one has to be aware of the fact they need a lot of care and attention. They need a lot of exercise and not just walking they need to run and run like the wind. They love to run, cuddle and play play play.

They are expensive because they are so rare. The RCMP almost rendered them extinct. They are incredible animals. The Inuit created a very special friend, in these incredible dogs. Loving, loyal, instinctive, fun and protective of children.

@blubuck Ty for the idea, I live in Canada so....maybe thats why they're so expensive. I just hope the plane ticket to bring him over isn't too expensive. I'll check it out :)

Strange that they are so expensive where you are from, here in england they are cheap because no one has heard of them. I only paid £500 for my boy. You could prob buy one from England and fly it over for cheaper than you can buy one there from the sounds of it.
