Here's this beautious vintage monster through the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo unit, then into the Zvex Tremorama pedal. The Tremorama's sequence is set by the volume knobs at the top as well as the speed and step length which can be 4, 6, or 8 steps. The TTE adds even more warmth to the Oberheim's sound, if that's even possible!

  • delicious sound...you can get a really good approximation using a nord lead, which is a relief as the matrix 12 and the xpander are bad for reliability all round.

  • The Nord Lead 2 is one of the best modeling synths. But for anyone who has actually sat down and played a Matrix-12 or X-pander, the Nord pales in comparison.

Vintage synths are not as reliable as Nords or other modern synths. But the Matrix-12 and X-pander are certainly more reliable than many other vintage synths.

  • Snap. Love that tone.

  • what chords are those

    ?

  • damn nice. now all we need is a 909 beat!

  • That is an absolutely fantastic demo. Thank you so much for sharing this.

The Matrix 12 is pretty much a dream synth for me, though I have only ever heard it in demos. It is just rather expensive, though I'm sure it's worth it too.

It seems that your effects are really creamy warm too, and also expensive, from memory. Luscious sound all round.

It does seem that Matrix 12's are lasting a bit better than some of their contemporaries. Perhasps they receive better care?

    Thanks again!

  • cool gear for sure.

  • that's a great gadget

  • Cool. M12 is the best analogue monster ever!

  • Fun!
