  • OF course the USSR was supporting Egypt. I'm not denying that. What I want to say is that the states supported Israel way more. The amount of weapons shipped after the 9th of October to Israel was huge compared to the amount shipped to Egypt by the USSR.

We only fought to get our land back. I don't think peace is in danger as long as Israel keeps respecting it by not killing our soldiers.

Anyway, I'm not going to debate that more. You can always check the history :)

  • The reality: Combined Muslim countries of Jordan, Syria and Egypt COULD'NT defeat a very small country of Israel.

Ceasefire is only their chance not to be defeated at all. Otherwise, they would eventually go down terribly.

  • @GIONELLIO You forgot that the states was supporting that small country.

  • @Foolab And the USSR was supporting the Muslim countries. The American support for Israel was far less then it is today.

  • @jonahfox Yes, The USSR was supportive but I believe it was less than the US support for Israel. Beside, Egypt got the land back ;)

  • Ich liebe Agypten :)

  • nawar el sadat was a great man, i wish i can meet him maybe in heaven, such a great man, Egypt's hero

  • @Foolab No it wasn't. If you read the history the USSR support was very substantial. Especially important in the Yom Kippur War where the USSR had supplied SAM missiles and Saggers. Those weapons were largely responsible for Egypt's initial success in that war since it inhibited Israel from taking advantage of its air force. Anyways, I am glad Egypt got the land back as long as the peace is maintained : )
