@mwnciboo The modern ones are still made from Canadian bears. They keep trying out different faux fur but it never holds up properly.

Technically the French killed the Bears, the British Guards stole them as a Momento at Waterloo from the French Imperial Guard. Oh and modern ones are not bear skin, faux fur is now available.
