Meet the Authors: Donna Cuevas Roeder & Anjeanetta Prater Matthews!

Meet Donna and Angie! They are the authors and co-developers of the new Hopscotch series as well as the new K-1 intervention programs LIS and SIL.

As bilingual interventionists working in a highly diverse school district, they realized the materials they had weren't meeting the needs of their students. So they decided to stop complaining and do something about it!

Hopscotch is a series of nonfiction, multicultural leveled readers that focus on the real life experiences of children. All 68 titles are available in English and in Spanish (not translated or adapted).

Designed for struggling students in kindergarten and first grade, SIL- El Sistema de la Intervención de Lectura and LIS- Literacy Intervention System are supplemental, small-group interventions that focus on 6 weeks of intensive, daily instruction.
