Rorschach: I heard a joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor... I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains.

I'm gonna have to disagree wit ye on this one.. In the spidey case, it is only really J.Jameson who hates him, the rest of the world[most of the time] adores the webslinger for his deeds.. As for Rorscach's death being foolish and naive, i find it hard to understand how you work that out. In the short term, maybe it was right what ozy did He did it to prevent massive nuclear war.
But, in alowing society in general to continue as it was, there will always be further conflict, and things would just return to the way they were before. Maybe he could have just moved on and tried to forget what Ozy did, but to do that would have been to betray everything he had believed in, fought for and been such an outcast over. But either way, your opinion, do what ye like with what i'm saying. My opinion, however is that Rorscach is the only remaing hero among the watchmen.
Heroes are naive. And that's what makes them noteworthy. Heroes stay true to themselves and when (notice how I say "when" instead of "if") they die, they bring people to a whole new level of understanding.
The point here is the fact that, no matter what good intentions, any hero makes, his or her actions will be viewed negatively by the world. They are looked upon at a negative light. That's why J.Jameson hates Spidey. That's why people rioted at the presence of the Watchmen.
