At 9.08am, the Cortege emerged from Diana's London home, Kensington Palace, to begin its near two hour journey to Westminster Abbey where the service was due to begin at 11. When it turned onto the public road, some people in the crowd threw flowers. Others cried.

I have succeededin creating an HQ DVD of the funeral footage. I have also created a DVD of the television footage from 31 August 1997. Please send me a message if you would like a copy of either DVD.

  • It's something we call "Respect".

  • Wot about the fact that her marriage was a farce from the word go because of her husbands ongoing affair with Camilla? She was brought in to be a mother to heirs and nothing more, she had more than earned her own happiness in the end. she had served her days as a glove puppet.

  • I was five years old. My Nana had pictures of Princess Diana in her house, and like the rest of the country, I loved her. I got up early one morning and the radio was on. As soon as I heard the news I ran upstairs to tell my parents- they didn't believe me until they heard it themselves.

  • there must of been a moment today when william thought about his mum before he got married. aww : ( I know what the comment below means about the mass hysteria, but to be fair it was very sad and i think it was also shock that made people react that way.
