Pokémon Battle UB-001: Alex (DS)

Well, I said I wasn't up for standards, and another Roulette with the same person in a row wouldn't be that interesting, so Ubers it is!

Unlike Standard and UU, my Uber team has no set theme. This is due to the inability to name Event Pokémon like TRU Manaphy, Alamos Darkrai, and GameStop Deoxys. Also, I don't have a well constructed Uber team with "good OUs" like Metagross and Scizor, who are quite good in Ubers. I do, however, pack a Shedinja this battle, who is better in Ubers than he is in Standard.

I was hoping that he would pack a water team, so I brought my Manaphy but not my Kyogre. Still probably a better option in hindsight. Lots of hax happened, naturally. But I don't think the hax had a ridiculous impact on the game. Expect me to harp on it purely because Alex is, well, the hax king. Madeen performed pretty well, KO'ing half the team! Mewtwo is own, forever and always.

Also, I have no clue why I pronounce it GREW-don. I blame my best friend Darmani, because he had Ruby where I had Sapphire...so he caught Groudon first and I got the pronounciation from him. So far I've met one other person who pronounces it like that instead of saying the "Grou" like "Ground" but minus the "nd" sound. :\

omg he is the hax king,i cant tell you how many haxes hes gotten over me in every fight.oh and lets not forgot your 4 turn parahax on me kooper.we have to battle sometime,i have new guys and one that looks very promising,we can even do an uber if you want,i have some trained.

Well, that has to do with him being the HAX King and you being the HAXED King...so every other attack should crit, 10% statuses should fire every three times, etc.

I'm working on my new Team (Team Digi) so I'll probably be using it when I start doing standards again. Team Mega has yet to even take advantage of Platinum moves. :\

Besides, I got three of the four turns without parahax, so the law of averages was happy.

Plus as I mentioned, him inflicting paralyze only helped me in the long run. So yeah.
