Clownfish or anemonefish are fishes from the subfamily Amphiprioninae in the family Pomacentridae. About twenty eight species are recognized, one in the genus Premnas, while the remaining are in the genus Amphiprion. In the wild they all form symbiotic mutualisms with sea anemones. Depending on species, clownfish are overall yellow, orange, reddish, or blackish, and many show white bars or patches. The largest reach a length of 18 centimetres (7.1 in), while the smallest barely reach 10 centimetres (3.9 in).

  • i think they're cold. they need heat. lol

  • *finding Nemo flashbacks*

  • @SellersCultura They don't need it per say, but a soft coral, a xenia, or a zoo of some sort, something to shelter in, they like that. There seems to be absolutely nothing in that tank but sand water and fish, no LR, no corals, nothing. Just open water, that's bad, they're going to be stressed out from that.

  • @SuperHeroMan411 You're stupid if you think clownfish need anemones. But yea, they definitely need some PVC pipes and the like to hide in in a breeder tank.

  • it's a clown fish orgy

  • How am I supposed to find Nemo when they all look EXACTLY THE SAME?!

  • @SuperHeroMan411 clownfish don't HAVE to have an anemone...

  • @SuperHeroMan411 They don't need them, but they will prefer to utilise one if it's available. Most clownfish in captivity don't have an anemone and are perfectly happy :)

But there are far too many in that tank thats why they are stressed

  • YOU KNOW WHY?? COS THE NATURAL HABITAT OF A CLOWNFISH, IS FROM A SEA ANOMONE,,, they are clustering cos they are not use to living in that BARE condition... its literaly just rocks, water and fish... wut the he!LL???

  • @varmman krill, shrimp or oyster in its mouth(s) and 150w light it needs light! Anemones are normally poisonousness but clown fish are immune to them.
