Originally recorded by the Nat King Cole Trio on Aug. 22, 1946, Nat re-recorded this along with many of his other past hits in March of 1961 simply for the benefit of stereophonic sound which was still a relatively new innovation. Nat gives "For Sentimental Reasons" a very tender reading this time as a solo vocalist with a Dave Cavanaugh arrangement and Tony Morelli conducting the orchestra.
