My mother, now 83 years young, could sing just like this...it's like hearing her voice...I miss her voice. She now has Alzheimers. When I play Sarah Vaughan for her...her lips move...and her eyes light up...It's good.

If you want to identify Sarah's voice, all you have to do is listen to the vibrato. Her vibrato is very distinctive.

Sarah's range spans a tad wider than Ella's. She has deeper lows and higher, fuller highs.That's how you can differentiate between the two. It's definitely Sarah.

This is certainly Sarah Vaughan,i have this beautiful track on an old record from ''world records'' it also features Billie Holiday ,Lena Horne ,Ella Fitzgerald,i don't have a record player ,as soon as i have i will try to upload it.

@NuCreature2010 This is Sarah. I own this cd, and there is just enough distinction in their voices, that if you truly listen, you will learn the differences. When music is playing randomly on my Pandora radio I am not always sure, either, I have to look. There is one song Sarah sings, I think it is called "What Will I Tell My Heart?" I listened to this song for months on pandora, and thought it was Ella, until I just happened to look at the t.v. screen and saw it was Sarah.

No. When it starts off, it's difficult to tell, but after about 45 seconds, it's clear that this is indeed Sarah Vaughan, and not Ella.
