William lane craig is the atheist hunter! He is the biggest reason my faith in theism was restored.
-
Yes we know Craigs arguments will be the same. But see, the opening arguement isnt when it gets intersting. Craig is at his best in the rebuttal rounds when he refutes all of his opponents arguements. So if u are a fan of Craig and you you are familiar with his arugments, just skip the video to part 3 or 4. Thats when it gets interesting

Respond to this video... Yeap David you caught craig projecting his assertion on the attributes of god which is beyond the big bang he didn't appeal to revelation to conclude that god isn't infinite he bases that on his logical conception of reality and modern science but based on what craigs has stated god is infinitely good, all knowing and powerful.. but in the same breath
-
he says their cant be infinite number of gods and he limits what his god cabn when apparently this is the same god that brought the universe into existence
-
@Christianjr4 The arguement that Craig should discard is his fifth one. That God is known through personal experience. I think it's clear why PERSONAL experiences don't count as OBJECTIVE evidence for God's existence.

Who is Theodore Drange? Put Craig up against someone like Dan Dennett. He would tear this guy to pieces.
-
Craig's explanation is ad hoc since he arbitrarily exempts "God" from being an actual infinite entity. He doesn't say what "God" is; of what material is it composed. where is it, how does it operate. All this is unexplained. He just presumes the existence of the cause he needs to exemplify and explicate.
Is "God" infinite and eternal? If so, he violates his own claim that (as per Hilbert) there cannot be an actual infinite. If "God" isn't, then how and when did "He" come into being? A God God?

@6thwing Oh, btw, Merry Christmas! : ) Blessings to your family.

@6thwing What does God know? He knows every hair of your head, every cell in your body, past/present/future, He knows every grain of sand, every star, living or dead, every human living/living now/ not yet, all their cells etc. In short, he knows EVERYTHING. That is incredable, but it's still a finite number because logically one can add or subtract 1 to it. God has always known this so I am not saying knowledge hasn't EXISTED infinitely, it has, but the amount of knowledge is finite.
-
I can see you are very zealous for God, which is admirable, but not only are you fighting with the wrong party, you are coming across as very arrogant. We should be confident in our beliefs, not arrogant. Confidence is gentle, arrogance is harsh.
I'm going to explain why knowledge is finite in the next post so you will understand where I am coming from, but like I said, I'm not interested in arguing doctrine with other believers. Not if its as insignificant as knowledge : )
-
@Msjrward How, Prove to me, that Knowledge is finite? Because if it is, knowledge is SEPARATE from God. But what about the Knowledge of God? Is that finite too? Think a little. Assume you knew ALL numbers. All from -infinity to positive infinity. You would have an INFINITE KNOWLEDGE of all numbers. Now, we know that numbers are not really infinite, only potentially so. But we DO know that God is Infinite. And that knowledge is NOT separate from God. Knowledge, then cannot be finite. Not with God
im 3 minuts in to this video and Dr craig makes a mistake. He quotes hilbert and then says that the notion of infinity is something that is just an idea and not reality... the last time I check God is infinit in knowledge, and power. does that mean that these things are just ideas? The atheist would say yes and would have a party about it.

"the last time I check God is infinit in knowledge, and power. does that mean that these things are just ideas?"
When hilosophers and theologians of religion use the term infinity to describe God they mean it in a qualitative sense, not a quantitative sense.

Drange makes Craig run in circles. And I realised he just makes "copy-paste" arguments for his debates.Nothing new and original. The same old arguments in a finely-tuned rhetoric loop. One could actually make a debate with him by just debating his videos, and it wouldnt decrease the quality of the debate because he just repeats the same set of fallacious arguments without confronting the problems with them.
Would be willing to debate him,I was a child when I discarded those arguments he is using.

Why change the arguments if there is nothing wrong with them? Obviously Dr. Craig doesn't see a problem with them (neither do I for that matter) so he's not going to change them. Also, there is only so many good arguments for God's existence to bring up in a debate, and I think Craig brings up the best ones, so why would he get up in a debate and always present new ones which are probably less plausible than these ones. And Dr. Craig does confront problems to his arguments. It's called rebuttal.
