I wonder what mode those Linistepper are running in? The motors sound a bit rough, so I'm guessing they are in full or half step... Have you tried them with one of the microstepping modes?
Since I changed the current resistors, I would need to change them also for the microstepping modes and I really didn't think there was any justification for this since the resolution is good enough for me and I don't seem to suffer from resonance.
This is just what I need :D What interface is used between PC parallel port and LiniStepper drivers??? Some link to shematic, pls? And what for 4th linistepper is being used ??? 1-x, 2nd-y and 3rd for pencil up/down, 4th ? ( I probably don't need it for PCB drilling ) what PSU is used ? Thanks :)

Interface is a CNC4PC board and a small circuit used to enable low power mode.
4th axis is rotary table on mill.
