Patti LaBelle,Sarah Dash & Nona Hendryx who penned this superb track, were Labelle in1976.This is from their Chameleon album which has recently been reissued on CD.
The Chameleon album comes highly recommended from a certain Patti Labelle,.."Chameleon & Phoenix
are Classics that have the best singing we did as a group together". I second that!..Enjoy!

I mean, the vocals on this cut are just downright SCARY....makes you wonder if they're even human. There isnt one flaw in the damm song and my guess is that they probably did it in one or two takes. JUST UNREAL...

Sorry but according to my original vinyl copy of the “Chameleon” album from 1976, Nona Hendryx titled this composition “Going Down Makes Me Shiver”!,. Glad you appreciate the song! Cheers!

@76grandprix Yeah that Nona is FIERCE as a writer...that Chameleon album is FIYAH! She wrote everything but "Get You Somebody New" and "Isn't It a Shame".

@SuperXavier30 - yeah, Nona wrote Come Into My Life, Who's Watching The Watcher, Chameleon, Gypsy Moths, A Man In A Trenchcoat (Voodoo) and Going Down Makes Me Shiver. She wrote damn near the entire Chameleon album. She had madd skills and still does.

30 plus years later...........the lyrics remain genuine and genious. And the unison of these vocals will always remain unique.
