National Novel Writing Month is a month-long event that challenges people to write a 50,000-word novel from scratch during the month of November. On November 8, 2009, a bunch of Wrimos from the Toronto area met up on the Finch subway line, and hammered out a bunch of words together for their novel...or at least, tried to.

  • Wow, this is DIFFERENT! I used to write poetry on the subway. The different people, the rattling cars, the glimpse of scenery when they went above the ground were somehow inspiring. This is incredible. Oh my goodness, was that ERROL at 1:20? I saw his AWESOME video featuring Koreans, Starcraft and Andre the Giant and "Gadsby". Big plus having him in this video.

  • @QueenBoadicea The background song is Errol's "I love you (but i'm ugly)" from his geek lovesongs collection =)

  • What an AWESOME idea! I wish I still lived in Toronto to participate in one of these!

  • :D

    I AM HAPPY!

I failed miserably... I got literally 0 words after that day. But that day totally made up for it :D

0:28 is me and the quitter who stole my iPod.

  • Great!

    This must've been fun :D
