This has already been called the "Holy Grail" of Phish Videos.

This is a FREELY TRADED, NEVER SOLD home movie of Phish Backstage. Total running time 1 hour 20 minutes.

The Rev. Jeff Mosier (Blueground Undergrass) was contracted by Phish in the Fall of 1994, to help them learn Bluegrass. They flew him to Michigan and Gordon picked him up in a limo, and they had their first lesson on 11-14-94, same night as Grand Rapids.

With his Blessing, the footage he shot of this whole experience, backstage and onstage, was remastered and is now being shared.

  • Mike, why dont you dress like this anymore? :( hahah

  • I wish I knew of Phish when I was a little lad. Still love the shit out of them

  • @Stevesyb123

as sad as that is, I agree, who knows maybe he got a little to full of himself (he was a fucking amazing guitarist) or maybe it was the H, well never know, but now he seems to care much more, even though he cant play like he used to, gotta be happy for what we have!

  • Back when they moved as one.

After about 97 it seems Trey no longer went on the journey with the other three, he just kind of rides on top, not really listening and inadvertently squashing the the others.

  • @zander75

ya, cause paige is playin, and his has the best jam style! :P

  • yes, there has been studies on improvising & playing music in a group in general. It's like a conversation with someone, the closer you are to one another, the more connected you feel to that person.Music is the same way-especially when improvising, the closer you are to one another, the better you can communicate with each other. Phish has accually talked about this before onm the short documentary that came with he purchased version of undermind.

  • can you cite your reference? i'm not disagreeing with you, i would tend to agree actually. just wondering how it's a "proven fact". was there a scientific study done on improvisational music?

  • Mike and Trey at 7:50... totally sweet gawze!
