Who maintains the servers in the cloud and from what countries would these be hosted from China, Russia or ???, in order to get the cheapest rate per month. Are we just going to dump our all of our vital information and proprietary business data on public servers and leave them more exposed to hackers? What would prevent a "cloud host" from selling your data to a competitor or giving them a login to your business account. Something to think about I guess.

Cloud computing is great for running the "business" side of my DJ business, but is useless for DJ performing and music production/recording. Plus I don't feel comfortable keeping all my QuickBooks data on another server - if only my life revolved around business documents then this would be perfect! Lol

Why cant everything else be this simple!
The key know is educating businesses of the capabilities and gaining early adoption. It would be good if the large vendors can include the channel in the game.

Dude, that's geek stuff, most people don`t even have a clue what you mean and fully enjoy all the benefits of cloud computing in Gmail.

You geeks seem to forget that the average user isn`t living in your world of bits and bytes like yourself.

But doesn't this all harken back to the days of timeshared computing and data terminals. Why buy fancy computers if all you will need is a smart terminal... oh and while your at it... remote printing. This is just a new name for an old idea repackaged to make it seem fresh. M$ and others have been wanting subscription computing... this is their angel.
