think like when you watch a cars rim as it moves, it seems to rotate faster at high speeds (think high frame rate aka not slowed down), and forward when rolling slowly (think low frame rate aka slowed down). it is an illusion our eyes create.

Or because the fps were changed. It has something to do with where the tee is in it's rotation in each frame.
