They usually deal with almost everything , anything that generates money , both legal and dubious , like smuggling of liquor and cigarrettes , prostitution , fish mongering , gambling , extortion , paying corrupt public officials , ecetera , ecetera .

@DocGonzo08 Oh I see . Thanx for sharing your modern-day culture with me . In my home state of Sarawak in Malaysia , the slang for a gangster is "APEK BAYAT" . I do not know what "BAYAT" means , but if "APEK" it means "an old man" in Chinese Hokkien dialect eventhough the person is not old at all .
