What is Frequency Modulation? 1, the concept.

This is the first of 3 videos covering frequency modulation and the Operator synth. This Was made in a previous version of Operator but the concepts and techniques are still very valid. what are you using to display the frequencys?

I love these videos. I've been using FM via the Native Instruments FM7 and later FM8 softsynths for a while, so I'm somewhat familiar with this stuff, but it still is nice to have a review that's so well laid-out, especially with the spectrum graph above that makes things so intuitive. My only critique would be that the synth's audio is MUCH, MUCH louder than your voice, such that I had to really ride my volume knob to watch this without missing the explanation but also not killing my eardrums
