Saying this is ridiculous considering you have probably have no idea of Kaiser's tournament history. His tech skill was never over the top, and Kaiser was always good enough to beat people like Darkrain. Don't be so quick to judge, this match doesn't do justice.

Kaiser had some amazing techs but he still got 3-stocked (and most people would agree he pretty much got 4-stocked). This video demonstrates very well what happens when you shape up your tech skill well without having any prediction, mind games, or experience playing better players.

sorry to reply after 7 months but I just want to note that the most prominent exception to that rule is l-canceling.
essentially, if you don't l-cancel. you get raped even if you spaced your aerial well.

It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing, you're just wrong. You can't make up for a lack of mindgames by having proficient technical skill. A player who can't fastfall, short hop, l cancel, shine cancel, or wavedash will rape a player who can if his spacing is better, always.

Meteor Cancels might be easy but on this stage, it's hard to meteor cancel before you die since the floor is SO close from the stage.. And Kaiser chose this stage so Dark Rain just out played him. Great match
