The V65 will stand straight up off the line if you arent careful, so obviously you were not giving it all it had. Take care of that bike it deserves far more respect than that rocket thing you were racing Proud 1985 V65 Magna owner.

Get the oil mod kit from Dave Dodge racing products. It is a bolt on kit and I have it on my 85 V65. It took about two hours to install. I recomend this product as it is a quality and easy to install product.

@kowalskideahl The 1100s were available in three colors per year from 83-86. Depending on the year, black was available all 4 years,

@mikea05 84's do come in red, My dad has an 84 in mint condition only has 23000 KM on it, it's an 1100.

racing on rain?no results.thats it
-
@chiplick everyone starts somewhere.

Whatever man, if your taking a bike out to fucking drag you should have easily enough experience to drag it!! If you haven't opened your bike up on the highway you probably shouldn't be dragging it. And what about the guy the blows him away? his bike must be a special bike that is impervious to rain! "Wet behind the ears" Good one!!
-
@chiplick First off you lil wet behind the ears idiot....look at the title. Its his first ever 1/4 mile run...that means hes being carefull. 2nd off...for it being his first...look at the track. Its been raining. Rain and motorcycle racing dont generally mix. Thats why young kids have sky high insurance like yourself...you THINK you know everything...but really you know very little. Perhaps its time to stop thinking with your little sack and use your head.

The guy on the magna needs to untuck his sack from between his legs lol!! My dad has a V65 and that bike will haul ass with the proper guy draggin it!! Not with this guy on it!!
-
Well i've already bought it and I got it out of Walland Tennessee off of an older like man. Damn this bike is really awesome.

Hey you all out there I'm getting a very nice red 1984 Honda Magna V65 1100 with only 24,000 miles on it will I be very impressed with it because I here alot about them and how fast they are that's why i'm getting it I've never even rode one so give me some advice and oh by the way it already has the oiler mod thing on it whatever that is I know it's to help out the cam wear but that's all I know about it, I don't even know where it goes, but are these things very competetive with modern bikes?

Are you sure It's an 84? Are you sure it's an 1100? As far as I know all 84 1100s were black, the V-45s were red and the V-30s were blue. Mine runs in the mid 11s. I know it can do better just need to practice more. I've seen them do 10.90. Still very competative with todays bikes, just won't corner or stop as well. Oil bypass a good thing if you like to cruise at low rpm. Have fun but respect it This 25 year old bike can still bust your #%*! up.
