Agudah, Vouchers & Same gender Marriage

An article in Hamodia June/03/09 details the strong prompt action of Agudah and 100 activists to fight City Hall to retain millions of dollars of voucher money. Rabbi Levin contrasts Agudahs alacrity, strong terminology (i.e. "outrage", "we are under siege", "we need amunition") used by a solemen-faced Rabbi Shmuel Lefkowitz Agudah VP and their tepid response to the imminent G-d forbid passage of same gender marriage. Which is more important, the loss of money or the imposition of a lifestyle which Chazal said brought the Great Flood.

Gay marriage should be stopped? Some says Jews should be stopped. Some say Harry Potter should be stopped. Some say Christians should be stopped. All of these people use fire and brimstone to make their point. Be brave and drop the religion and actually learn to love and live! How can you love God when you hate your neighbor?

And how in any way will the passing of any sort of legislation devastate the average frum family. (beyond a fleeting sense of discomfort over the mere mention of lgbt issues)

If the idea of same gender couples being able to file joint tax papers, adopt a child or visit loved ones in the hospital is such a unbearable thought, why not move to Israel were marriage is an exclusively religious not a secular legal institution?

Over the years after reading much literature on christianity, I noticed the minute you turn away from what it says in the Bible it has ALWAYS has ended in destruction. I noticed churches and people who started to engage in homosexuality-now they are not in business anymore! There is a Methodist church close to me and after about 200 years it closed. And you want to know why? They promoted a gay priest.

From an orthadox Jewish theological viewpoint: If the lgbt portion of the community is such a big problem and frum Jews believe that orientation is " curable", why isnt there money being raised to openly support and promote Jonah / narth? Why is it that the only time the frum world ever addresses the lgbt populace is in the context of anti equal rights activism?

Never thought Id see the day when frum Jews would ban up with their sworn enemies the Christian goyim to oppress their OWN family, friends and neighbors. Apparently six million lives werent enough to teach any sort of lesson. In an ironic twist those whos parents and grandparents died along side lgbt inmates in the camps are continuing to propagate the final solution.
