@Poxcr that would only happen if you place your XT module next to your mailbox or by your driveway.

The siren is a little louder than most smoke detectors. You can connect a hardwired siren if you need a little more output...or wish to alert your neighbors.
I recommend getting some ear plugs when you install your first alarm.

You have two options with your panel:
1. Contact a local security firm to work with GE to unlock your panel,
or
2. Replace the panel
