  • A sad day in our history!

  • I was almost 10 when he was running for President. I, along with all my friends LOVED him..had a 'crush' on him....It wasn't till I grew up that I realized that this man was a whole lot more than shy and cute. Bobby, you would have changed the course of History for the better had you been elected. The most intelligent and compassionate leader of our times....

  • @ChaosGremlin Why because he says what you want to hear and speaks well? That means nothing mate.

  • @babylambs he cared in gerenal ye just like his bro great men!

  • @babylambs couldnt agree more

  • Its' been over 40 years but seeing this and hearing this still brings a lump in my throat.

  • I'm curious as to who diverted him from the path to the main ballroom to the kitchen. You see him move to his right and then turn left. Also who is the strong silent type standing there at 4:28 in the middle.

  • @altfactor Andrew West was the Mutual Radio Reporter you mentioned. He is the reporter wearing glasses to Kennedy's right who asks him a question on the stage immediately after RFK finishes his speech. He then turned off his tape recorder and turned it back on after hearing the shots and entering the pantry. A recently discovered tape by a reporter named Pruszynski records the shots as breaking out at 1 min. 30 sec. after he finished the speech--before the sounds at 5:25 on this video.

  • Did I hear distant gunshots around 5:25 of this clip?? Seconds later, the mood of the Ambassador Hotel ballroom turned from jubilation to crisis, with several young ladies screaming alarm at the top of their lungs.

This appears to be recorded on a VTR in a remote truck on-site.

  • @raelraven2 The best know souindbite of news coverage was from radio. A Mutual correspondent was in the corridor, asking RFK about his plans for a likely Fall run against Nixon, but heard gunshots, realized what happened, and then reported on-the-air "Has Senator Kennedy been shot? Is it possible?........Senator Kennedy ahs been shot".
