Syma S105 Micro Helicopter Review - 3D Look Micro Heli Radio Controlled

Picked one of these Syma S105 Micro Helicopters for my son as a stocking filler for Christmas and it turned out to be much better value for money than I expected. This model really flys great. It looks the part too. We've made some minor mods to it and it flys even better. I will post a video on the mods soon. In any case I hope you enjoy this video.

I actually paid $40AUD for this helicopter but you can buy them pretty cheap through ebay. Last I looked you could get them for around $25USD about $30AUD.

how can u tell the difference between the 105 model and the 107

@raf4jack You can only tell by the packaging. The only difference is the 107 has the Gyro which will stabilize the model for you

How long can this model stay airborne on a fully charged battery?

I get around 10 min I think. Now that's non stop flying. I don't land at all during that time. If I'm landing on things, stopping and starting possibly 15min tops. Hope that helps. BTW I only charge it using the PC never the RC

@Dark24001 It depends on how smooth you are with the controls. If you are powering up and down hard the batteries will work harder. Also make sure you charge using the PC not the Radio

I just use the charger that came with my new smart phone, of course most of them come with the usb charger adapter now. I know the falcon x does as well.

@raf4jack wel the numbers gave it off but the s107 has a gyroscope unlike the s105 and theres other preferences but im not too sure about them.

I bought one of these from Academy Sports. The brand I bought my as is 3P Aviation. It looks identical to the one in your video except the tail rotor is facing down instead of up. The frame and canopy look identical except for color. Mine has a gyro and in my video response you can see how perfectly stable it is. I was flying it with one hand becasue I had to hold the camera.

no that is only the stabilizer, the gyro is just under that.

Ive noticed the battery staying charged longer if charged on the USB and fly time is roughly 4-6 minutes with about 7-10 minutes of charging on the USB.

When i have my S105 and i flip the switch to on, the flashing lights dont come up and i cant start it up, any ideas what happend?
