@StopFlaggingVideos the reason he can move at such impressive speeds is because of muscle memory, when doing katas they do these routeins hundreds of times until prefection his muscles after doing it so much learn to retain the information and thus focus on being as fast and as powerful as possible.

i love kung fu and want to startfinding a local school but i shall not lie, this looks like a guy on acid in a park xD. very skilledthough.

it's just a form, not a sparring match, if he was in a real fight situation, with that speed, a UFC fighter will not have time to react, they depend more on muscles than on speed and their reactions are not too good either.

@StopFlaggingVideos Good wing chun in MMA is impossible. Because MMA is a sport and not street fighting. On the street there are no rules and you can't choose your weight class. If someone kicks you in the nuts, no one will disqualify you or something. Wing chun has techniques going to the throat, you can't do that in MMA because of the rules. However, with wing chun alone, you cannot defend well against MMA. I agree with you about the importance of conditioning.

@GinXYZ You're exactly right. Traditional martial arts alone are hard to use in sportsman, like the UFC. However, Cung Le uses kung fu as one of his styles and often uses spinning kicks and sidekicks something which can be seen in kung fu. In his case, though, he's a hell of a wrestler. So unlike most kung fu guys, he doesn't have to go crazy with his kicks to avoid being taken down to the ground because he knows grappling.

I do not recommend running around with your arms spread wide open like that in a fight. lol

@jaffar1808 real kung fu? kung fu isn't even martial arts. and wushu doesn't have eagle claw style.

@GinXYZ Well of course if any dedicated student cross trains they will have better results. That almost goes without saying. I can see where you're coming from though. I had a hard time understanding the use of kung-fu which I am learning right now, but it as all about knowing how to apply what and when to apply it. Then again in my dojo we practice mixed martial arts crossing our kung-fu with other things such as japanese jiu-jitsu and tai chi.

@MrYaoiMonster I've studied TMA's, including WC and Northern Long Fist. It's not about being disappointed but rather it's about understanding their effectiveness. WC, for example, simply does not translate very well at all into modern fighting. No one is going to triangle stance and chi sao with you. The same is true of other TMA's. This is why modern MMA fighters that cross train always trounce TMA fighters that don't.
HOW IS THIS MOTHERFUCKER SO FAST?!
you can't really see this nowadays in professional fighting. all people want and use are compact, fast easy-bake fight styles so they can get in and fight
training for years at a time in some traditional martial art is not as viable anymore, so people dont really aim for such speed and skill like this. they'd rather just condition their body and go muay thai someone into submission
i'd really like to see good wing chun in MMA, before i die
