This is from a Tommy Tedesco Concert at Loyola Marymount in the early 1980s. He messing with the crowd with his rock and roll antics but you can see what a player he was.

I hope to be in Austin one day. Crazy that we had our first screening there in 2008 at SXSW and haven't been back. Soon I hope.

Regarding Dislikes? My father was having fun. He was playing to the college kids in the audience as well. It was 1982 if I remember.

I loved this guy's Guitar Player Magazine columns! They were always so great. I used to always read them first thing.

He's just having fun here. You know "people who don't get it, don't get that they don't get it." Simple as that.  Read his book "For Guitarists Only" and you'll get a feel for his sense of humor. The guy could and did play anything.

@DennyTedesco Your dad had 5x the chops and 10x the musical knowledge of even the best rock guitarists. Please he could actually READ music...really well, in fact! But, music is also about style and feel. Rock music was definately not his medium. This video is mostly amusing as a novelty, and I have to admit that I wouldn't really want to watch it more than once. One the other hand, if he was playing some fast bebop...
