@arcanequake fruit DOES contain all the essential amino acids. By essential i mean the ones the body can't synthesize, your body makes its own their are only a few that are actually necessary to ingest.

@trevor1787 Fine, stay in denial, do you see any other primates eating meat on the daily?
-
@KaeruthePaladin The human body has absolutely no nutrtional requirement for the flesh of an animal, nor byproducts produced from an animal.
-
@highsugarfruit there is 9 essential amino acids with those 9 your body makes the other 11 non essential ones.

This is a great video, very interesting! Too bad people are obsessed with protein and won't listen. Everyone seems to think they know everything about everything, when in reality we know a small fraction about nutrition. I'm glad for you and others out there who are willing to get beat-up a little online in order to get the facts out. Thank you

@nomuscleasianman what are you comparing him to? As a reference, watch a movie 1970's and previous, look at the people, are they fat...massive in muscular bulk? lol
People then and previous were generally quite slim..People now are on the extreme end of either fat ass or an unhealthy muscle head who claims to be healthy. I know, I used to be one of those people..trust me, not healthy. There is a reason why meat is a direct link to bowel cancer, and protein is hard on kidneys etc

he's not talking about fruit specifically

@nomuscleasianman Compared to a bodybuilder or an NFL player for instance, no he doesn't. But as a raw foodist he's definitely more "jacked" than many others. For whatever reason many vegans raw or otherwise seem to do nothing but running and do absolutely no resistance training of any kind. Tim is the exception. So compared to the rest of his peers he looks a million times better.

@arcanequake All raw plant foods have all 8 essential amino acids, so I don't know what you are going on about. Do your research. High protein/high meat diets leads to colon cancer and kidney failure.

This video is b.s. for one simple reason -- he supplements with hemp protein. Watch him make his morning smoothie. Guess what? HEMP PROTEIN.
Note the key word there, hemp PROTEIN.
This is ridiculous.
@m4th3wpr1c3 Have you been listening to what he was talking at all? This guy is a RUNNER, not a bodybuilder, And he says he is overweight for a RUNNER (which he, btw, is), carrying too much muscle for a RUNNER without doing anything in the way of exercises to build muscle (as far as I know, bodybuilders avoid walking, let alone running in fear of "burning up" their muscle). Everything he says in this video is in fact not only true, but also logical.

Cool, so we can eat fruit and get all the amino acids we need? That's all well and good except for the fact that fruit doesn't contain the full spectrum of amino acids. Protein synthesis is an all or none process... without the full spectrum of AA's in the body, the body cannot synthesize protein structures such as skeletal muscle.
