  • Calling a religious person names is not the most effective thing to do, it is however, the most satisfying thing to do, decisions decisions.

  • @2105 man, watch some more Dawkins videos, he says over and OVER again that he doesn't think there is definitely no God in the same way that he can't be sure there are definitely no fairies or unicorns. Don't willingly swallow the bible then immediately judge everything and everyone else in relation to what it says, you may aswell be just as passionate about Peter Pan, World of Warcraft or Lord of the Rings x

  • @ScientificChristian1 I shouldn't be as stubborn as to insinuate that I won't read your replies and won't let you have the last word. In fact, I will most definitely read your replies and invite you to create them. However, this will be my last post as it's necessary for life to go on whether or not we agree, and frankly, I'm a little tired of the debate. Again, best wishes.

  • @ScientificChristian1 4) Morality is not religion-based. They come from personal experiences, raw emotions, empathy, interactions, lessons learned throughout your life. I believe that the bible should be taught as literature and not truth. It is a great collection of stories to which many sects of the humanities owes its understanding to, but apart from that, it is simply a book which provides no evidentiary support to any truth of the tenets of the religion and should be viewed as such. Done.

  • @ScientificChristian1 3) I'm not attacking your religion as a Christian, but I oppose religion as a whole. The fact that religions teach and indoctrinate children to believe and fear an eternity in hell is comparable to rape of the mind. How dare adults teach children to live in a world where they have to fear their own actions, hinder their ability to treat EVERYONE equally and bar them from rational thinking, discussion and questioning imposed beliefs by natural inheritance of religion.

  • @ScientificChristian1 1) Give up the communism argument. It isn't getting you anywhere and like I said, Dawkins has explained countless times. Go find it, I'm not your personal Google.

    2) "Godless societies" are fairly recent in terms of public admission due to the scientific repression religion has fuelled. In terms of Stalin and Mao, it was Leninism and Marxism beliefs which lead to the turmoil of the people, and not necessarily the freedom from religion, which is the definition of atheism.

  • @ScientificChristian1 Listen, I'm not here to change your ways. You seem to put up this crazy defense even after I let it go and wished you the best of luck. We probably could debate for days on end, and I appreciate some truths to which you speak. So I will simply leave it at the fact that we both have our own opinions - and here are my final comments: (continued)

  • @deemer595 not true watch third reich the fall on the history channel. Good people that kept journals talked about how they were lied to in the beginning but then were in over their heads. It had nothing to do with religion.Who we choose to listen to affects who we become. Hitler, Stalin, Osama, certain Popes, Che, Mao, etc. all have one thing in common. They used other people by misleading them on the facts. Abuse of power is not picky, any one can fall for it if they don't check facts.

  • @LongDriveChamp03 only because he is keeping tabs on how many he leads astray.

  • @deemer595 I can also play the same game. Can you name a godless society that has not treated their people like cattle? Murdering and plundering those that were of another viewpoint. The Judeo Christian values that America was founded on have created the fairest system of Government in history. It has also done more good in the world than any 5 countries in history. It is certainly not perfect but has protected the world from communism which killed almost 100 million in last 110 years.
