Why Do Bella and Edward Love Each Other?

Edit 2: Before you ask me "Well why do you love your husband?" Just scroll through the comments for several of my answers, I don't like imitating a broken record, kthnx.

Edit: Can no one seriously answer this question? You guys are disappointing me.

So I don't believe they love each other, but I'm willing to, given a good reason for it.

Bella is a submissive that lacks any ability to take responsibility for her own sexuality. Therefore someone who is manipulative and controlling is perfect for her. Edward is a creepy stalker who can't handle a woman with actual ability to determine how her life turns out so Bella is perfect for him. Ok question answered.

Eclipse (pg. 110): " 'I love him. Not because he's beautiful or because he's rich!' I spat the word at Jacob. 'I'd much rather he weren't either one. Those are just a few reasons Bella clearly states as reasons she loves Edward.

@CoutureCutie100 That's like saying, "oh I love him because he ISN'T an asshole!" I mean Mike is decent, Tyler was decent, Jacob was decent up until Eclipse- In fact I'd argue they were all a million times more decent than Edward since they didn't break into her room to watch her sleep at night.

So why does she not say things like, "I love him because he's so funny, he likes to discuss things like art, politics, music, books, history, etc with me"? Know why? Because their relationship sucks.

@fromthisgirl why do you care so much? this book is not ment to teach you something. its fluff reading. thats all. i get that peoples obsession buggs you...it buggs me too sometimes. but its not realistic and i dont think SM ment for it to be. im writing a book, and my characters have a very glamorous yet dysfunctional relationship. in my characters eyes, its perfect and so thats hows its portayed in the book, but that doesnt mean it is. same w SM. bella and edwards relationship isnt perfect

Interesting that I came across this so late-but why does it matter? Twilight is a money making product which presents a cookie cutter story where the female reader can put themselves in the shoes of the main character and the love interest has no real personality except be the personification of all that women want in a man. The dialogue and writing is amateurish. Young women one day wake up and realize this can't exist. But the movies are hysterical! They are my favorite comedies ever.

They don't love each other. Bella thinks Edward is gorgeous and mistakes that for love, and Edward? He likes the way Bella smells.
