Allan beswick # 1

Allan Beswick had a late night phone in show from 10pm til 2 am weeknights, and was hilarious! he was suspended by the IBA for a spell for being too rude to one caller, he returned for a short while,but left because he was restricted by the IBA on what he could say!
this 10 min recording is an edited section of many of the best bits i recorded over a 12 month period, enjoy!

I remember those late night phone ins, I didn't have a cassette that recorded radio, so my cousin recorded 2 C90's (rem them), lost one but still have the other. My question... How do I post an old tape on YouTube, I only have an old Sony Walkman.

@chrispman Hi its a bit complicated. i did it by first plugging the cassette player into a cd recorder (dont think they sell them now) and recording the entire cassette to an audio cdr in real time, i then ripped the cdr to mp3 on my pc, then edited it in windows movie maker, and uploaded it to youtube, i think you may be able to plug your walkman into your pc somewhere and press play and convert it to mp3 on your pc, but i wouldnt know where to start, sorry!

I got into Allan Beswick months before he finished in 1987. Thanks for posting these although I'm not impressed by their content as they're largely comprised of vulgarities & him being overly obnoxious. This contrasts with my collection of tapes, recorded post-ban when he was forced to clean up his act, and contains a large number of quality calls/arguments including the memorable astro travelling! I may post on YT if I get the inclination and enough interest from fellow YouTube-ers.
