This quite memorable tape first introduced itself on BBC1 in February 1966 as a replacement for El Pizzicatango and was in turn replaced by Tzigane 2 in August 1969, just as soon as BBC1 were to switch from 405-line monochrome to 625-line colour. Enjoy the following featured tracks: 1. Asia Minor; 2. Alaska; 3. Equador; 4. Georgia On My Mind.
wow ! this is beautifull , i am 50 , I have listen any coin of music but never heard this one , thank you for breaking the cultural darkness promoted for greedy recorders , that only want to sell ttrash , and twist the people musical taste by repeating to death cheap arrangements and submisive artists that end in drugs madness or death ,no more disposables , we are contaminating everithing thinking and action like that , well thank you you Juan

Heavens I do remember Equador. Even as a kid I thought it sounded very exotic, like a war dance

Re; Alaska -
Wow, it must be 40 years since I last heard that tune but i remember it note for note, funny how things get imprinted on your brain when you're young.

Reminds me of being stuck inside on a wet day waiting for the programmes to start!

The third track sounds oddly like Brazil.

Ecuador is wedged into my memory for ever too, scorpiofootiemad! I used to listen to the tunes over and over in the sixties. Around 6:36 the tune reminds me of two John Barry tunes: the "Human Jungle" theme and "The Girl With The Sun In Her Hair" (Sunsilk ad).
