Matt is a 6 year old 14.2 3/4 Welsh Cob gelding. This video was from a Welsh Bronze Rated Show on April 21, 2007. This was the first time Matt had ever shown over fences and the first time he ever jumped 2'9" (the height of all fences, including the oxers). He's only 6 and we hadn't pushed him up to this point, so he had never jumped higher than 2'3" until the week before the show when they had him jump 2'6" for the first time! As you can see he has the ability to go even higher as he's a bit lazy even at this height! Also he is just starting to school his auto lead changes. Matt is sadly for sale. Please visit www.WindroseWelsh.com for more information on Matt and other sales Welsh. Presented by Windrose Farm Welsh Ponies, Cobs and Half Welsh

  • I LUV THAT HORSE HE SSSSOOOOOOO HANDSOME!!!! I would have him if I could ship him ova!!!!

  • Thanks for the comments on Matt! At this time his rider (the one in this video) has decided to keep him and sell her mare instead! He has recently been shown with scores of 68 and 67 at his first dressage show at Level 2 Tests 1 and 2! He also has done his second combined Training Event at Beginner Novice. My sister's trainer loves him and says he will easily go above the 3'6" that he is currently jumping as he still isn't even trying. So now Tina, an ArabX mare is for sale!

  • The nicest welsh cob i have ever seen and i am from wales!!

  • Thank you so much! We just got notice that Matt was Champion Hunter, and Third Place English Pleasure Cob (C and D) for the Southwest Region of the US, after only 2 shows, the first of which is shown above! His rider was also Third place Junior Hunter Rider for the region after riding just him and one Half Welsh at this same show! We are so pleased with him!

  • Nice! The second round he was much better about his leads.

  • I'm sorry, I took off the sound...The first round was his warmup, the second round is actually one of the classes. I tend to talk with whomever I'm standing next too and make lots of "good/bad girl comments, push him, hold him" like comments, and no one really needs to hear them over and over again :) At this time we are accepting any reasonable offer on this gelding due to family changes and no time to work him like he should be worked!

  • He is, as the welsh might say, crackin' lookin'.

  • he's not even trying! lol he will make a great hunter or jumper considering he's only 6 he has time to get better. i wish i could afford a horse cause he would be great

  • Nice pony. If I was riding him my feet would be almost to the ground. HAHA jk. Almost though. Your saddle seems a little too small thats just my opinion.

  • Is he small for a welsh cob or average size?Because most of the section Ds i know are 15hh and taller.

  • feel free to visit our stud we also have cobs and tb for sale regularly! our stud is cilsane stud!

  • Aww, I would so buy him, but I'm way too big for him. He's adorable!
