@banger073 on second thought, the couple in the back seems to be about to have sex, but they'd draw the curtains first. i don't know of any all out orgies in the common room, especially not at the table. of course couples had sex when no one can see, that's always been like that, during all ages of human civilization.

@banger073 no this not an orgy. this is an illustration of a bath house from the 15th century. people held banquets while bathing, nothing sexual going on here. but i don't see why the uploader chose this picture to go with church music from the 13th century.
