A man wakes up and mysteriously finds himself trapped in an empty, white rectangular room, wearing clownish bright yellow polka dot pajamas. Where is he? Who did this to him? How did he end up here? Will he manage to make him escape to safety? Meanwhile, in a Mexican dusty town, a green-masked wrestler known as Escargot man prepares for an important match. As the nameless prisoner appears closer to escape and Escargot man steps into the ring, filmmaker Matsumoto amplifies the baffling yet suspenseful atmosphere to a crescendo of ridiculous excess.

well to all who didn't know symbol started his first novel i think , then he releases manga about it this project was planned after the final season gaki no tsukai , he does have acting experience i think, to be honest i did watch this film i dunno why i laughed everytime when i see hitoshi act so serious i guess he has strong comedian and didn't effect much on this movie well its a good drama though

I simply love this director! It's a rarity to see CG used also to show something incredible, surreal, and not just spectacular. Yes his movies are mindfu***d, but i think they're deeper and more interesting than what they look apparently.
