Afghanistan After Bin Laden

Now that Osama Bin Laden is dead, US war in Afghanistan faces greater scrutiny. The event has kicked off a debate in Washington on US involvement in Afghanistan and its very justification. Experts like Brian Katulis of Center for American progress are of the view that US should scale down resources in Afghanistan and turn them towards countries like Pakistan and Yemen. But others like James Carafano of the Heritage Foundation believe US should not pull out of Afghanistan at this stage.
