A lot of people have called Jeff the Zoo Guy a monkey. But even he would admit, he's nowhere near this cute. Check out this Baby Mandrill. Learn first hand why this baby is being raised at the zoo and what is being done to get this little guy back with other Mandrills where he belongs.

  • Wow jeff, you get a weird breed of people to watch your videos. I mean wanting to shave it and bathe it in milk is a bit on the odd side

  • Amen to that.......

  • What a beautiful animal. Do mandrills raised in "captivity" become hostile to their human keepers when they reach adulthood?

  • It depends on the animal and the situation in which they are raised. I have seen Mandrills do great with people well into adulthood, but I have also seen then become very aggressive. Thanks for watching.

  • While I specialize in filming Sonoran Desert wildlife, my 3rd most popular video (on YouTube) is a male mandrill from the Phoenix Zoo. I was trying to figure out why when I came across this video of your precious baby! Very informative -- thanks!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • great video! That little guy no doubt, has grown into a beautiful big guy by now! Have u ever seen him again in your work? If so, how is he doing now? Successfully integrated by now I would imagine!

  • lol hit 1:14 funnny

  • Absolutely fantastic! I love this video and have always been fascinated with Mandrill. I work with varecia variegata rubra right now (as well as other lemurs) but would love to be able to work with Mandrill one day.

  • press 8 (so the rum looks so - its how they attract their mates) press 3 (its that little guy right here(pinis) press 6 (so thats kinda what makes them neat) press 9 for end

  • I have found one use for these vermin. If you hook them right, through the neck and out the nose, they make great shark bait. They swim and splash attracting sharks. The babies work good for the smaller fish, barracuda etc. They can last up to an hour before they drown.

A lady lived 2 door from me lost her 1 month old infant to baboons. They bit through her jugular. They do a lot more damage then crops. Anyone who ever worked in the labs with them, if their honest, hate them as much as I.

  • It´s a shame that humans call all other primates as "pests", when we are the species that destroy the earth

  • @XxXimapersonXxX fuck off

  • hes so cute omg y cant his mom take care of him??comment back please:)

  • he's cute now but when he grows up he's gonna be pretty scary with huge set of fangs.
